not a solution but helpful info

When Notes 8.02 hangs, I do this:

1. Run nsd.exe -kill from the program directory
2. launching admin.exe (ie not notes.exe or nlnotes.exe, as these won't work still)
3. Open Notes from the left-hand navbar icon.
